A size label is not a measurement

Use something that fits as a reference. A short measurement note beats guessing from a photo.

Measure an item you already own

For tops, note flat chest width, shoulder width, body length and sleeve length. For trousers, use waist, rise and inseam. For shoes, consult the seller’s fitting guidance and ask about insole length if needed.

Use the same measuring method as the chart. Flat chest width is not full chest circumference.

Match the chart to your option

Check the exact model, not another item from the shop. Ask whether the numbers describe the garment or the wearer. Different versions in a shared listing may need different charts.

Ask for a measured photo

Name the dimension: “flat chest width, armpit to armpit” is more actionable than “check size.” Compare against the seller’s stated tolerance while you can still apply for a return.

A warehouse measurement cannot tell you how fabric feels, stretches or fits after washing.
